In the 24th minute Leo Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Smeekes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Medardo came free, but Jan-Joost Smeekes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Vidal came free, but Jan-Joost Smeekes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kurt Schröer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pieter Sijmonds charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pieter Sijmonds the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jan-Joost Smeekes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrian Reno in the 68th minute. Norberto Medardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan-Joost Smeekes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norberto Medardo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute, Norberto Medardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Seagulls's Wilco Owusu Abeyie pulled a muscle in his leg after 90 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 91 minutes, Norberto Medardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black Rose 1979 and the Seagulls players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Black Rose 1979 getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Norberto Medardo hit a great ball. Seagulls's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Norberto Medardo scored to the left of an out of position Jan-Joost Smeekes, making the score, 0-6.
