Gigel Vârșan hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 3rd minute of the match Petro Diem sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Denis Buteanu skillfully saved the ball. Denis Buteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julius Bechstein in the 6th minute of play. Jovan Markovič charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jovan Markovič the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jan Langmaier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Denis Buteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Constantin Ene fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s protests and gave Constantin Ene a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th match minute, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantin Ene to maneuver through the defense. Anton Galen hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Dan Aanuţei scored to the left of an out of position Laurent Frister, making the score, 1-0. In the 27th minute, Cristian Maleș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Langmaier scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denis Buteanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 32 played minutes F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- got a freekick which was hit by Gigel Vârșan. Petro Diem was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Laurent Frister showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jovan Markovič, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Gigel Vârșan kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 54th minute, SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin's Torsten Drewes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Torsten Drewes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Torsten Drewes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Torsten Drewes hit a great ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin's goalkeeper Laurent Frister, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matteo Kasseckert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Gigel Vârșan got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Gigel Vârșan off the ground. A collision led to F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gigel Vârșan hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Petro Diem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gigel Novac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Galen struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Denis Buteanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin. Matteo Kasseckert took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Buteanu. Denis Buteanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Laurent Frister showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinu Roşu, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herwig Fricke during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin's Herwig Fricke got a free kick in the 87th minute. Laurent Frister made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Maleș in the 88th minute of play. Gigel Novac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
