The tension between the Tiger and the SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Igor Anton got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 22nd minute, Fulko Schwaderer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Anton Galen fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin's protests and gave Anton Galen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Anton Galen hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Fulko Schwaderer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurent Frister saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurent Frister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raik Sauer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Langmaier in the 46th minute of play forced Tiger's goalkeeper Hartmut Weidenhammer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Langmaier was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Raik Sauer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tiger fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Fulko Schwaderer struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Laurent Frister made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörg Hebenthal in the 78th minute of play. The Tiger supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tiger would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
