Ştefan Cînu started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Iustinian Tutuianu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carpathians fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Iustinian Tutuianu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. RamPa Football Club's Lixandro Carbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Cînu in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Vasile Socoriceanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lixandro Carbo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Lixandro Carbo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ştefan Cînu's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ondino Acacia during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Carpathians booed when RamPa Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ondino Acacia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lixandro Carbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustinian Tutuianu in the 26th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Eutor Piega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RamPa Football Club and the Carpathians players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 27 played minutes RamPa Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Eutor Piega. RamPa Football Club's Leobardo Barroiz got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ştefan Cînu scored 0-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lixandro Carbo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carpathians's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Xusto Uribe scored to the left of an out of position Dorin Petrică, making the score, 1-3. If Eufrasio Cotera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Carpathians booed when RamPa Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ondino Acacia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 played minutes, Carpathians's Constantin Cârstea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lixandro Carbo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carpathians reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leobardo Barroiz was the one to do the kick off. Franco Barresi hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The supporters of Carpathians booed when RamPa Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipo Uranga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Constantin Cârstea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lixandro Carbo. The audience was convinced that Iustinian Tutuianu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lixandro Carbo was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Dorin Petrică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xusto Uribe in the 83rd minute of play. After 87 minutes of play RamPa Football Club's Eutor Piega was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, RamPa Football Club's Eutor Piega got a free kick in the 87th minute. A collision led to RamPa Football Club getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Eutor Piega hit a great ball. The Carpathians supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Carpathians would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
