With a little luck, Forza Beşiktaş's Başar Keçeci got control of the ball when Silviu Drăgoescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Başar Keçeci was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iustinian Tutuianu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 played minutes Forza Beşiktaş got a freekick which was hit by Abbas Sıratullah. In the 69th minute of the match Constantin Cârstea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Başar Keçeci showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carpathians's Gavril Gurlui was substituted for Constantin Cârstea. 80 minutes into the match, Forza Beşiktaş's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Giurgiu came free, but Başar Keçeci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustinian Tutuianu in the 90th minute of play forced Forza Beşiktaş's goalkeeper Başar Keçeci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Forza Beşiktaş booed when Carpathians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stelian Panaitoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Başar Berin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Petrică having to interfere. After 96 played minutes, Forza Beşiktaş's Necip Fazıl Vefik shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dorin Petrică came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Forza Beşiktaş reached it. Forza Beşiktaş's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
