Bülent Şemsifer came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Mădălin Jupân. But to his dismay, Mădălin Jupân quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mithat Hirfanlı had several of the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 13 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Nechifor Oargă as he didn't even see the shot coming. Bülent Şemsifer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mădălin Jupân's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After 18 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Drăgan. Mithat Hirfanlı's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Nechifor Oargă skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nechifor Oargă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mithat Hirfanlı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Mithat Hirfanlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Oargă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lions Of Turks were furious when Arif Burak Erengüç was red carded, 35 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 35th minute, one of Lions Of Turks:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lions Of Turks. After a defensive mix-up in FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's zone, Mithat Hirfanlı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nechifor Oargă came out of the goal and Mithat Hirfanlı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Artaç Ünsan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nihat Candar in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nechifor Oargă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mădălin Jupân stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Atahan Ahioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Oargă having to interfere. When Atahan Ahioğlu came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Lions Of Turks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atahan Ahioğlu couldn't finish the play. Artaç Ünsan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Nechifor Oargă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Lions Of Turks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nihat Candar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mădălin Jupân in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bülent Şemsifer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Cabbar Özkan came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Lions Of Turks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cabbar Özkan couldn't finish the play. Nechifor Oargă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cabbar Özkan in the 79th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Cazimir Iorgovan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Eric Drăgan hit a great ball. Cabbar Özkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Oargă having to interfere.
