After 11 played minutes Lions Of Turks got a freekick which was hit by Mithat Hirfanlı. SAO JOANENSE FC's José do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save SAO JOANENSE FC from getting a goal against them. After 16 minutes, Eriberto Vaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAO JOANENSE FC and the Lions Of Turks players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eriberto Vaz hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Lions Of Turks's Özalp Tokuztuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Magalhães in the 23rd minute of play. Cabbar Özkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José do Vale having to interfere. Anıl Ozan Okkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. José do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Özalp Tokuztuğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiliam Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 played minutes SAO JOANENSE FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafinha Furlan. Özalp Tokuztuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Vaz in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute, Çelik Adam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eriberto Vaz to make the kick off. Özalp Tokuztuğ made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wiliam Matorin in the 52nd minute. José do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anıl Ozan Okkan in the 63rd minute of the match. Anıl Ozan Okkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anıl Ozan Okkan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th match minute, Lions Of Turks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Çelik Adam to maneuver through the defense. Wiliam Matorin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Özalp Tokuztuğ came out and tried to block the shot, but Wiliam Matorin slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 79th minute. In the 84th match minute, Lions Of Turks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nihat Candar to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Magalhães hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 91 played minutes Lions Of Turks got a freekick which was hit by Anıl Ozan Okkan. In the 96th minute Wiliam Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Özalp Tokuztuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SAO JOANENSE FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
