The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ştefan Florescu's late challenge caught a Cosmopolitan FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Hans Ekenberg fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cosmopolitan FC's protests and gave Hans Ekenberg a yellow card for diving instead. Cosmopolitan FC's Tim Löv played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicu Ceaușescu in the 32nd minute of play. Hans Ekenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nae Morar having to interfere. The supporters of Cosmopolitan FC booed when ASF BAIA MARE -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Turlea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th match minute, ASF BAIA MARE -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silviu Itu to maneuver through the defense. Cosmopolitan FC's Frans Ålberg shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nae Morar but with some difficulty. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octav Glăvan to strike the kick off in the second half. Cosmopolitan FC's Hans Ekenberg got his second yellow card of the match in the 53rd minute. The referee ordered Hans Ekenberg off the ground. In the 65thth minute of the game Octav Glăvan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cosmopolitan FC's Tim Löv was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Octav Glăvan in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tim Löv prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustaf Berggren struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Nae Morar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosmopolitan FC. Johannes Åström kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Octav Glăvan in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jonathan Frisck hit a great ball. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
