Bento Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bento Melo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bento Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Nae Morar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aprígio Espinosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodor Jilăveanu kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match Bento Melo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nae Morar skillfully saved the ball. Nae Morar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Paixão in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aprígio Espinosa in the 17th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Nae Morar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Spoială came free, but Fabrício Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Aprígio Espinosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nae Morar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land got a freekick which was hit by Máximo Pimentel. 34 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Aprígio Espinosa came free, but Nae Morar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s zone, Humberto Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nae Morar came out of the goal and Humberto Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Abel Paixão came free, but Nae Morar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land booed when ASF BAIA MARE -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Rioşanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Maxim Rioşanu fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s protests and gave Maxim Rioşanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, one of ASF BAIA MARE -MM-:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ASF BAIA MARE -MM-. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Nae Morar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Paixão in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Paixão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- defense, Abel Paixão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nae Morar. The ASF BAIA MARE -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nae Morar should have stopped the shot. 69 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Nae Morar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Rego. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Paixão in the 70th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Nae Morar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Maxim Rioşanu got a free kick in the 74th minute. A collision led to ASF BAIA MARE -MM- getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Maxim Rioşanu hit a great ball. If Aprígio Espinosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nae Morar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Máximo Pimentel in the 83rd minute. If Abel Paixão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 minutes of play ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Teodor Jilăveanu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Teodor Jilăveanu hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
