GUAYACO's Hugo Mejia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Rosendahl in the 5th minute of play. Hugo Mejia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Pihlgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Mejia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Frisck in the 17th minute of the match. Hugo Mejia came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Cosmopolitan FC's Mattias Pihlgren. But to his dismay, Mattias Pihlgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hugo Mejia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Åström in the 27th minute of play. Hugo Mejia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Åström, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 38 played minutes Cosmopolitan FC got a freekick which was hit by Wiktor Helander. GUAYACO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Bordonoba to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Cosmopolitan FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

54 minutes into the game, Vela Garros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. GUAYACO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cosmopolitan FC the free kick. In the 54th match minute, C.A. GUAYACO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vela Garros to maneuver through the defense. Johannes Åströms short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Hugo Mejia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, C.A. GUAYACO's Hugo Mejia got control of the ball when Johannes Åström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adam Rosendahl's late challenge caught a C.A. GUAYACO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adam Rosendahl helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Adam Rosendahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute, Wiktor Helander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vela Garros in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tim Löv prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, C.A. GUAYACO's Nando Bordonoba got a free kick in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víctor Urioste in the 92nd minute of play forced Cosmopolitan FC's goalkeeper Tim Löv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cosmopolitan FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
