PINGO PINGO's Leonel Claris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save PINGO PINGO from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Iliana in the 10th minute of play forced CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goalkeeper Fabrício Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in PINGO PINGO's zone, Humberto Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Claris came out of the goal and Humberto Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Dominguez in the 15th minute of play forced CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goalkeeper Fabrício Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Pinho in the 18th minute of play forced PINGO PINGO's goalkeeper Leonel Claris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Iliana in the 19th minute of play. Leonel Claris was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Máximo Pimentel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Máximo Pimentel really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. André Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Leonel Claris made a huge save. Vladimiro Beliran charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimiro Beliran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land booed when PINGO PINGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Beliran didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Abel Paixão got a free kick in the 30th minute. Fabrício Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Iliana, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Santo Iliana fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PINGO PINGO's protests and gave Santo Iliana a yellow card for diving instead. Santo Iliana hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. A collision led to CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Humberto Vasconcelos hit a great ball. Fabrício Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Iliana in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ismael Manilan made a kick off. PINGO PINGO's Leonel Claris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Máximo Pimentel in the 52nd minute of play. In the 58th minute André Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Claris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrício Marques made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Santo Iliana sent off a good shot on target. PINGO PINGO's Leonel Claris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Pinho in the 67th minute of play. When Santo Iliana came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the PINGO PINGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Iliana couldn't finish the play. Fabrício Marques made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Silvano Pueblo sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute, Enrique Frasquito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Gonçalves was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Prospero Cesario hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Jorge Gonçalves sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and PINGO PINGO's Leonel Claris didn't even have to move. André Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Leonel Claris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonel Claris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Paixão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land fans cheered their team off the field, for while PINGO PINGO had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
