Wilmer Villerias kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Xacintu Monterrey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. GUAYACO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PINGO PINGO the free kick. Hugo Mejia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Pueblo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Víctor Urioste in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Claris saved PINGO PINGO from getting behind. In the 10th match minute, PINGO PINGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimiro Beliran to maneuver through the defense. Vela Garros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Mejia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Manilan in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Vladimiro Beliran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vela Garros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Leonel Claris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvano Pueblo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Mejia having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Silvano Pueblo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Mejia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Hugo Mejia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Kempe in the 22nd minute of play. Hugo Mejia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Kempe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nando Bordonoba kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Vladimiro Beliran led 31 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. C.A. GUAYACO's Hugo Mejia became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-3. Javier Dominguez took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Mejia. Hugo Mejia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Hugo Mejia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Dominguez in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Vladimiro Beliran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Mejia. C.A. GUAYACO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vladimiro Beliran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vela Garros made a kick off. C.A. GUAYACO's Hugo Mejia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Dominguez in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Javier Dominguez got free with Hugo Mejia in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Javier Dominguezs short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Hugo Mejia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 57th match minute, PINGO PINGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Dominguez to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Mário Kempe made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Mejia. C.A. GUAYACO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. The supporters of C.A. GUAYACO booed when PINGO PINGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Manilan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonel Claris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vela Garros in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by PINGO PINGO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yader Aramberri was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A. GUAYACO's players had a chance to rest. The corner led C.A. GUAYACO's Yader Aramberri to fire away a dangerous shot which Leonel Claris despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the C.A. GUAYACO defense, Mário Kempe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugo Mejia. The C.A. GUAYACO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Mejia should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute, Daniel Dalmai made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Mejia. C.A. GUAYACO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Hugo Mejia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvano Pueblo in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute, Javier Dominguez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hugo Mejia. The goal made the score 0-9. Mário Kempe had several of the C.A. GUAYACO's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 79 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-10 score and a disappointed Hugo Mejia as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 83rd minute, Gregorio Pes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Víctor Urioste came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the C.A. GUAYACO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víctor Urioste couldn't finish the play. Silvano Pueblo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hugo Mejia came out and tried to block the shot, but Silvano Pueblo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 95th minute. PINGO PINGO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
