Leonel Claris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Brasil's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Severino Madureira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. PINGO PINGO's Leonel Claris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustão Alagoano in the 20th minute of play. Severino Madureira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santo Iliana in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, PINGO PINGO's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Brasil came free, but Leonel Claris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to PINGO PINGO getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Prospero Cesario hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Marcelinho Ramalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Brasil in the 27th minute of play forced PINGO PINGO's goalkeeper Leonel Claris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santo Iliana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Severino Madureira made a huge save. Júlio Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Claris having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Tony Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Claris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34thth minute of the game Faustão Alagoano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PINGO PINGO's Leonel Claris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tony Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute Faustão Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Claris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in PINGO PINGO's zone, Júlio Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Claris came out of the goal and Júlio Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Thanks to some nice moves Júlio Brasil could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Leonel Claris however easily saved by the left post. Santo Iliana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Severino Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, PINGO PINGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Pes to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 91 minutes, Marcelinho Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelinho Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, PINGO PINGO's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Brasil came free, but Leonel Claris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
