Tomás Domeka who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Bartoli Navagos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bartoli Navagos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Senio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of C.S.D Punta Ballena booed when Los Delfines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Ekhi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Fuertehijar in the 22nd minute of play forced Los Delfines's goalkeeper Samuel Egun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmacio Edwardo during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 22 minutes into the game, one of Los Delfines:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave C.S.D Punta Ballena a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Isaias Fuertehijar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Los Delfines's Samuel Egun. 0-1. When Dalmacio Edwardo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 26 minutes had been played. A collision led to Los Delfines getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Roque Senio hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan-Carlos Casares in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Egun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute, Isaias Fuertehijar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.S.D Punta Ballena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Juan-Carlos Casares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, Roque Senio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th match minute, Los Delfines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Cresconio to maneuver through the defense. Ubaldo Olivar's late challenge caught a C.S.D Punta Ballena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ubaldo Olivar helped the player get up and apologised. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Isaias Fuertehijar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bonifaco Villalcazar in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Egun saved Los Delfines from getting behind. After 60 played minutes Los Delfines got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Olivar. A hard shot 61 in the game by Isaias Fuertehijar from a close distance when the talented Samuel Egun managed to make a qualified save. Los Delfines's players were relieved. Samuel Egun stood somewhat misplaced when Isaias Fuertehijar came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 62 minute. After some careless play in the Los Delfines defense, Bonifaco Villalcazar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Egun. The Los Delfines fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Egun should have stopped the shot. After 67 minutes, Onofre Masas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.S.D Punta Ballena and the Los Delfines players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to C.S.D Punta Ballena getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Onofre Masas hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Los Delfines's Pedro Cresconio got a free kick in the 70th minute. With a little luck, Los Delfines's Samuel Egun got control of the ball when Bonifaco Villalcazar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute Juan-Carlos Casares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Egun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan-Carlos Casares charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan-Carlos Casares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to C.S.D Punta Ballena getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Juan-Carlos Casares hit a great ball. In the 81st minute of the match Luis Ekhi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bartoli Navagos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 83 played minutes Los Delfines got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Cresconio. Bonifaco Villalcazar was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Los Delfines's Samuel Egun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Los Delfines from getting a goal against them. 92 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's goalkeeper Samuel Egun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bonifaco Villalcazar. Los Delfines's Samuel Egun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Carlos Casares in the 96th minute of play. C.S.D Punta Ballena's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
