Frederic Kuster started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stig Lindqvist got free with Carlos Schneider in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Schneider showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Falck, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After 13 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by Julio Medina. 14 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Carlos Schneider had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stig Lindqvist. After 15 minutes, David Krause mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Wil 1900 and the The Northmen Army players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by David Krause. 16 minutes in the game, Vilgot Dahlman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Carlos Schneider having to interfere. Alex Lidberg kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Sebastian Skarkman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Romano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Schneider made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Stig Lindqvist sent off a good shot on target. The Northmen Army's Sebastian Skarkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederic Kuster in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of The Northmen Army booed when FC Wil 1900 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Zollinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Stig Lindqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Schneider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Falck in the 40th minute of the match. FC Wil 1900's Carlos Schneider proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save FC Wil 1900 from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Stig Lindqvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlos Schneider. That made the score 1-0 in the 47 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stig Lindqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Lienhard Restaino kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. A collision led to FC Wil 1900 getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. David Krause hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Lindqvist came free, but Carlos Schneider reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Umberto Romano came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the FC Wil 1900 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Romano couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, The Northmen Army's Ernst Holmberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ernst Holmberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of The Northmen Army protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ernst Holmberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave FC Wil 1900 a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amandus Blattmer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of The Northmen Army's Sebastian Skarkman. 1-1. In the 72nd match minute, FC Wil 1900 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amandus Blattmer to maneuver through the defense. Kent Sandström kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Stig Lindqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Carlos Schneider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Göran Falck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Schneider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Schneider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Lindqvist in the 95th minute of the match. Carlos Schneider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig Lindqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The The Northmen Army supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Wil 1900's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Wil 1900.
