An unexpectedly hard shot by David Woltering in the 14th minute of play forced FC CHIVA's goalkeeper Rai Villalcazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rai Villalcazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Folker Witzke, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After some careless play in the FC CHIVA defense, David Woltering kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rai Villalcazar. The FC CHIVA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rai Villalcazar should have stopped the shot. David Woltering struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Rai Villalcazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vorwärts Lübeck. In the 36th minute FC CHIVA were awarded a corner. Carlos Solera went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led FC CHIVA's Carlos Solera to fire away a dangerous shot which Jochen Doll despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If David Woltering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Vorwärts Lübeck were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Sagrario Diez came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the FC CHIVA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sagrario Diez couldn't finish the play. When FC CHIVA's Sagrario Diez in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an all-out effort, Vorwärts Lübeck's Rai Villalcazar threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Waldemar Scheuch, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Vorwärts Lübeck's David Woltering in 81 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Rai Villalcazar guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The referee showed Jonas Vuelta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC CHIVA getting a freekick after 96 minutes play.
