The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anastasio Iratxo hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Christopher Frans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Wart Hollants fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Gullegem's protests and gave Wart Hollants a yellow card for diving instead. Wart Hollants hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Guaberto Cebo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Costermans in the 6th minute of play. Jonatan Berdaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SK Gullegem's Soren Kindts got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute, Quillian de Wolf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quitilipi's Guaberto Cebo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Costermans in the 17th minute of play. Federico Insúa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Jo van der Eycken skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Frans in the 23rd minute of play forced Quitilipi's goalkeeper Guaberto Cebo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segundo Ixona charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Segundo Ixona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Quitilipi got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Ixona. After 26 played minutes, SK Gullegem's Frank Costermans shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guaberto Cebo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SK Gullegem reached it. Wart Hollants was shown his second yellow card after 27 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 27 played minutes SK Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Wart Hollants. 30 minutes into the match, Frank Costermans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guaberto Cebo. Quitilipi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Costermans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Quitilipi getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nicolas Burutzagi hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Christopher Frans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Cebo was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Guaberto Cebo came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by SK Gullegem's Quillian de Wolf. But to his dismay, Quillian de Wolf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Christopher Frans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quitilipi's Guaberto Cebo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christopher Frans in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Christopher Frans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Cebo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half SK Gullegem were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Federico Insúa to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Clementi came free, but Jo van der Eycken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SK Gullegem's Yelle Van Damme got a free kick in the 54th minute. A collision led to Quitilipi getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Federico Insúa hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Quitilipi's goalkeeper Guaberto Cebo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christopher Frans. Robustiano Clementi struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jo van der Eycken didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quitilipi. The crowd rose to their feet as Christopher Frans kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guaberto Cebo. That made the score 0-4 in the 65 minute of play. In the 69th minute Sylvain Pauwels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Cebo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Costermans's late challenge caught a Quitilipi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Costermans helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Quitilipi booed when SK Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Costermans didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SK Gullegem getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Sylvain Pauwels hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Insúa in the 80th minute of play forced SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Jo van der Eycken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 81 in the game by Christopher Frans from a close distance when the talented Guaberto Cebo managed to make a qualified save. Quitilipi's players were relieved. Christopher Frans in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guaberto Cebo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Guaberto Cebo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christopher Frans in the 87th minute. Christopher Frans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Guaberto Cebo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 95 in the game by Sylvain Pauwels from a close distance when the talented Guaberto Cebo managed to make a qualified save. Quitilipi's players were relieved. Christopher Frans in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guaberto Cebo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Quitilipi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SK Gullegem were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
