In the 5th minute, Orlando do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Poetass FC's Claudinho Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Poetass FC from getting a goal against them. Tiago Godoi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Cássio de Senna skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 20 played minutes Poetass FC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Mattos. In the 21st minute of the match Gustavo Xavier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cássio de Senna skillfully saved the ball. Cássio de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Poetass FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Miguel Sergipano hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goalkeeper Cássio de Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hílton Mattos. Hílton Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna got control of the ball when Tiago Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Oséias Aguiar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cássio de Senna. That made the score 2-1 in the 40 minute of play. Cássio de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. A nice corner shot did that Gustavo Xavier got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cássio de Senna quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olavo Carioca was the one to do the kick off. Tiago Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiago Godoi got in the 52nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Cássio de Senna handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Cássio de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 64 minutes into the game, when Rony Peixoto put in a rough tackle. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Gracie Barra. Gustavo Xavier stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cássio de Senna. 4-1. After 69 minutes, Olavo Carioca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poetass FC and the Gracie Barra players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Poetass FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Cássio de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Hílton Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Godoi in the 75th minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper Cássio de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th match minute, Poetass FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 86th play minutes Oséias Aguiar shot 6-1, a short shot which went by Cássio de Senna and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 91st minute, Olavo Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 played minutes, Gracie Barra's Carlos Augusto Queiroz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cássio de Senna came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gracie Barra reached it. Oséias Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio de Senna having to interfere. Cássio de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Xavier in the 96th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Godoi in the 97th minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper Cássio de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
