The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute of the match, Hernani Tavares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Conrado Fernandez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 4 played minutes Abutres 2003 FDP got a freekick which was hit by Guto Arruda. In the 5th minute of the match Yan Netto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conrado Fernandez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Arlindo Teixeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ivo de Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi Ferreira in the 10th minute of play forced Pesqueira City's goalkeeper Ivo de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Arlindo Teixeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Abutres 2003 FDP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ivo de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The corner ended in Luiz Nóbrega almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pesqueira City's Ivo de Moraes did a great save. Ivo de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Abutres 2003 FDP's zone, Hernani Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Fernandez came out of the goal and Hernani Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Hernani Tavares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Conrado Fernandez. That made the score 1-3 in the 30 minute of play. In the 37th minute, Murillo Bittencourt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Abutres 2003 FDP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi Ferreira in the 43rd minute of play forced Pesqueira City's goalkeeper Ivo de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yan Netto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Conrado Fernandez having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yan Netto to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Abutres 2003 FDP's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Freitas came free, but Conrado Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Ronaldão Araújo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Ivo de Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute, Túlio Freitas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Ivo de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Didi Ferreira in the 62nd minute. Dráuzio Batista hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Didi Ferreira could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Ivo de Moraes however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Pesqueira City getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Kléber Garcia hit a great ball. After 80 minutes, Murillo Bittencourt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abutres 2003 FDP and the Pesqueira City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute Arlindo Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
