The referee ignored IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s protests and gave Natã Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute of the match Yan Netto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doni Pitta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Tavares in the 7th minute of play forced IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s goalkeeper Doni Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Alan Arce recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivo de Moraes. Alan Arce showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 14th minute, Alan Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. booed when Pesqueira City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Bruno Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Cavalcante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Ivo de Moraes made a huge save. Ivo de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Arce in the 18th minute. Doni Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani Tavares in the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Gilberto Cavalcante notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Pesqueira City's Ivo de Moraes. Ivo de Moraes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute Túlio Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s Doni Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yan Netto in the 33rd minute of play. Doni Pitta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hernani Tavares went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Doni Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yan Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute Alan Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivo de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Arce in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yan Netto was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Yan Netto could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Doni Pitta however easily saved by the left post. Doni Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio Freitas in the 56th minute of the match. Hernani Tavares took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doni Pitta. Doni Pitta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 68 minutes into the game, Hernani Tavares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Doni Pitta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st minute, Hernani Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 72 played minutes IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nildo de Amaral. In the 74th minute Túlio Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 minutes, Valdomiro Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. and the Pesqueira City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erasmo Linares might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Doni Pitta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erasmo Linares ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Durvalino Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Pesqueira City's goal looked a bit too open when Nildo de Amaral came free, but Ivo de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, one of Pesqueira City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pesqueira City. Ivo de Moraes went to the wrong direction when Christiano Sabóia was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s Doni Pitta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. defense, Hernani Tavares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Doni Pitta. The IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doni Pitta should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the game, Hernani Tavares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Doni Pitta. Hernani Tavares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pesqueira City eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
