Matthew Edwards made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Wållander in the 8th minute of play. Club Atlético de Newell's Matthew Edwards played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingmar Tunander in the 12th minute of play. Matthew Edwards stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Wållander's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. A collision led to Club Atlético de Newell getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bradley Skipton hit a great ball. The BELAJ BOYS fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when BELAJ BOYS's Allan Wållander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Richard Skröder might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matthew Edwards. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Richard Skröder ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the game, Allan Wållander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Matthew Edwards was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute, Allan Wållander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BELAJ BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Fredrik Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seb Newman in the 39th minute of play. Pål Nyman might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matthew Edwards. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pål Nyman ran back to his position shaking his head. Jens-Ove Ålberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingmar Tunander kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Matthew Edwards showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Skröder in the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Allan Wållander made a kick off. With his leg Matthew Edwards managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when BELAJ BOYS's Richard Skröder fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 55 minutes into the match, Richard Skröder notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Club Atlético de Newell's Matthew Edwards. Matthew Edwards was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 60 minutes into the game, Jay Holmes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético de Newell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BELAJ BOYS the free kick. A collision led to Club Atlético de Newell getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Jay Holmes hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, BELAJ BOYS's Matthew Edwards threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Allan Wållander, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 66th minute, Brendon Swanson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Matthew Edwards had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jimmie Valström. Richard Skröder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Matthew Edwards made a huge save. Club Atlético de Newell's Matthew Edwards played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Wållander in the 72nd minute of play. Matthew Edwards took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Wållander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded BELAJ BOYS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Atlético de Newell.
