The Zorros del Desierto fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Zorros del Desierto's Samo Rano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zorros del Desierto's Leonel Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Dracena in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Jerry Maguire left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zorros del Desierto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Celso Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Albrecht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes, Saturnino Albrecht made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vista Alegre FC's Celso Paulista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute Diogo Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nino Maravilha made a kick off. With a left leg Celso Paulista saved Vista Alegre FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nino Maravilha in the 60th minute of play forced Vista Alegre FC's goalkeeper Celso Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 played minutes Vista Alegre FC got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Bueno. Zorros del Desierto made a substitution. Rodolfo Aranda replaced Samo Rano. In the 64th minute, Diogo Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Vista Alegre FC defense, Jerry Maguire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celso Paulista. The Vista Alegre FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celso Paulista should have stopped the shot. Celso Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Maguire in the 72nd minute of play.
