But to his dismay, Nino Maravilha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jonas Dominguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Leonel Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Herensuge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Maguire in the 17th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes River Plate ® 9-12 got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Cresitobalo. Nemesio Frisco hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. With 22 minutes on the clock, Florencio Lehen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 21 minutes into the game, one of River Plate ® 9-12:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, River Plate ® 9-12's Huey Acuña got a free kick in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, River Plate ® 9-12's Enrique Gartzen got a free kick in the 30th minute. Paulo Pezzella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Santana having to interfere. Ursino Cabero hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Paulo Pezzella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Zorros del Desierto were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Paulo Pezzella struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Leonel Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate ® 9-12. Nemesio Frisco charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nemesio Frisco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 64 minutes into the game, one of River Plate ® 9-12:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Felix Herensuge, was totally fooled by Zorros del Desierto's Jerry Maguire, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 70 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Dominguez came free, but Leonel Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, River Plate ® 9-12's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Albrecht came free, but Felix Herensuge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Herensuge made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Nino Maravilha sent off a good shot on target. When Godofredo Quilino fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate ® 9-12's protests and gave Godofredo Quilino a yellow card for diving instead. Godofredo Quilino hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Paulo Pezzella managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate ® 9-12's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Pezzella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 88 played minutes River Plate ® 9-12 got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Gartzen. Leonel Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Pezzella in the 91st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miren Bacheler during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Zorros del Desierto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miren Bacheler to maneuver through the defense. The Zorros del Desierto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zorros del Desierto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
