Mustafa Cumhur Yıldızhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adomas Bacys in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to Samsunspor getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Kubat Tümel hit a great ball. Tauras Bagūnas's late challenge caught a Samsunspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tauras Bagūnas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Tauras Bagūnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romualdas Karalius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yasin İncili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samsunspor's Mustafa Cumhur Yıldızhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Samsunspor from getting a goal against them. In the 17th play minute Tauras Bagūnas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mustafa Cumhur Yıldızhan. 1-0. When Geležinis Vilkas's Adomas Bacys in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Samsunspor's goalie prevented a goal. In the 27th minute, Samsunspor's Arif Bilge Şahsuvar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arif Bilge Şahsuvar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Samsunspor protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arif Bilge Şahsuvar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 26th minute, one of Samsunspor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Samsunspor. Adomas Bacys took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mustafa Cumhur Yıldızhan. Mustafa Cumhur Yıldızhan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Adomas Bacys struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Mustafa Cumhur Yıldızhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geležinis Vilkas. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Deimantas Valys to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deimantas Valys in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mustafa Cumhur Yıldızhan saved Samsunspor from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Faustas Mikalauskas during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Samsunspor's Yasin İncili slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Romualdas Karalius. That made the score 4-1 after 58 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birsel Emekli got free with Romualdas Karalius in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute, Valentas Bizauskas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Geležinis Vilkas's Rimas Labutis got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Samsunspor's goal looked a bit too open when Tauras Bagūnas came free, but Mustafa Cumhur Yıldızhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustas Mikalauskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Mustafa Cumhur Yıldızhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Samsunspor's goal looked a bit too open when Deimantas Valys came free, but Mustafa Cumhur Yıldızhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rimas Labutis charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rimas Labutis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rimas Labutis hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's Tauras Bagūnas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mustafa Cumhur Yıldızhan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Valentas Bizauskas came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Geležinis Vilkas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentas Bizauskas couldn't finish the play. Geležinis Vilkas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
