In the 5th minute, Greg Corcoran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Fábio Velasco hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Kris Oddy struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. João Augusto Velasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coventry Wasps. After 12 played minutes Coventry Wasps got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Pilgrim. Kris Oddy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Augusto Velasco having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C.'s zone, Lucas Bridgewater stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Augusto Velasco came out of the goal and Lucas Bridgewater tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Coventry Wasps booed when SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fábio Velasco hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Greg Corcoran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but João Augusto Velasco made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Didi Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Augusto Velasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Bridgewater in the 26th minute. Greg Corcoran hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 32 minutes, Ronnie Blakeley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coventry Wasps and the SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Coventry Wasps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronnie Blakeley to maneuver through the defense. Kevin Pilgrim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kris Oddy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronnie Blakeley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. João Augusto Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Ronnie Blakeley took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for João Augusto Velasco to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronnie Blakeley to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Ronnie Blakeley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Augusto Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Augusto Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greg Corcoran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Lucas Bridgewater notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C.'s João Augusto Velasco. João Augusto Velasco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kris Oddy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Augusto Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greg Corcoran in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Corcoran in the 72nd minute of play forced SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C.'s goalkeeper João Augusto Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Ronnie Blakeley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. João Augusto Velasco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lucas Bridgewater recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute Ronnie Blakeley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Augusto Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Coventry Wasps's Lucas Bridgewater nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Augusto Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. A collision led to Coventry Wasps getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Kevin Pilgrim hit a great ball. Vernon Myers struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. João Augusto Velasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coventry Wasps. The Coventry Wasps fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Coventry Wasps's Vernon Myers looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee ended the match the Coventry Wasps players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
