After 3 minutes, Rubinho Nogueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leripe Lifestyle and the Estudiantes de América players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Leripe Lifestyle's Rubinho Nogueira got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 7 minutes into the match, Leripe Lifestyle's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Guib came free, but Luís Fábio Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leripe Lifestyle's Luís Fábio Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Bitxintxo in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute Octavio Bitxintxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Nogueira came free, but Rolando Erasto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Erasto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubinho Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Erasto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Nogueira in the 17th minute of the match. After 23 played minutes Estudiantes de América got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Quiroga. With a little luck, Estudiantes de América's Rolando Erasto got control of the ball when Zézinho Pontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodriguinho Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Luís Fábio Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Bitxintxo in the 27th minute of play. When Rodriguinho Pires fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leripe Lifestyle's protests and gave Rodriguinho Pires a yellow card for diving instead. Rodriguinho Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Luís Fábio Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Bitxintxo in the 29th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Luiz Fabiano Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 35 minutes, Diego Banegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes de América's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Banegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Estudiantes de América's Rolando Erasto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Nogueira in the 39th minute of play. Leripe Lifestyle's Luís Fábio Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Arlo in the 41st minute of play. Rodriguinho Pires was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 44th minute, Rodriguinho Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Norberto Errapel made the kick off in the second half. Rolando Erasto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zézinho Pontes went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norberto Errapel in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fábio Cardoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de América's zone, Zézinho Pontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Erasto came out of the goal and Zézinho Pontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arthur Zico in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Erasto saved Estudiantes de América from getting behind. Estudiantes de América's Rolando Erasto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Pontes in the 64th minute of play. Zézinho Pontes scored 2-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Erasto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vinícius Romero's late challenge caught a Estudiantes de América's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vinícius Romero helped the player get up and apologised. Leripe Lifestyle made a substitution. João Carlos Mangueira replaced Arthur Zico. In a very dangerous position, a player in Leripe Lifestyle fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! In the 76th minute there was a penalty for Estudiantes de América. Silvano Guib stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luís Fábio Cardoso. 2-1. Silvano Guib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luís Fábio Cardoso was a little too slow when Silvano Guib got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
