Toader Gabrea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Bogumil Madajczyk made a huge save. Granicerul's Narcis Coman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliks Lichucki in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Toader Gabrea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Granicerul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bękarty Wojny the free kick. After 10 played minutes Granicerul got a freekick which was hit by Toader Gabrea. After a defensive mix-up in Granicerul's zone, Zdzislaw Kanczuszewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narcis Coman came out of the goal and Zdzislaw Kanczuszewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdzislaw Kanczuszewski in the 16th minute of play forced Granicerul's goalkeeper Narcis Coman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bękarty Wojny's Bogumil Madajczyk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Bękarty Wojny from getting a goal against them. Narcis Coman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Feliks Lichucki went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Doru Corbeanu took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Bogumil Madajczyk to make any attempt to save it. In the 40th minute Doru Corbeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogumil Madajczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bękarty Wojny's Zenon Kasprzak got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bogumil Madajczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Cărtărescu in the 46th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdzislaw Kanczuszewski in the 47th minute of play forced Granicerul's goalkeeper Narcis Coman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Bogumil Madajczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Cărtărescu in the 51st minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Bękarty Wojny's Zdzislaw Kanczuszewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Narcis Coman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute Radu Jușcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogumil Madajczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narcis Coman was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Feliks Lichucki capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Feliks Lichucki really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After 70 played minutes Bękarty Wojny got a freekick which was hit by Zbyszek Lipinski. Dorel Albescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogumil Madajczyk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Granicerul booed when Bękarty Wojny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenon Kasprzak didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Doru Corbeanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bogumil Madajczyk was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Dorel Albescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Cărtărescu's late challenge caught a Bękarty Wojny's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Cărtărescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Granicerul's Emanuel Cărtărescu got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Ksawery Plaski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Doru Corbeanu fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Granicerul's protests and gave Doru Corbeanu a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 played minutes Granicerul got a freekick which was hit by Doru Corbeanu. The supporters of Bękarty Wojny booed when Granicerul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorel Albescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Bękarty Wojny's Juliusz Trynda got a free kick in the 94th minute. Bękarty Wojny's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
