Jonas Haegg started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Degerfors IF getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Isak Termander hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Olov Axelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the game, Allan Bruhn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Degerfors IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panopticon 04 the free kick. A collision led to Panopticon 04 getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jonas Haegg hit a great ball. Fredrik Ljungberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan Johnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute, Ivar Uggstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Dan Grönberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Panopticon 04's Fredrik Ljungberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Örtendahl in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Haegg came free, but Pontus Lindström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Dan Grönberg. Fredrik Ljungberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan Johnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johan Johnsson to make the kick off. A collision led to Degerfors IF getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Claes Stenman hit a great ball. Olov Axelsson hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 64 played minutes Panopticon 04 got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Haegg. Degerfors IF's Dan Grönberg shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 65th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fredrik Ljungberg but with some difficulty. Fredrik Ljungberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Stenman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute of the match, Johan Johnsson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fredrik Ljungberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Panopticon 04's Fredrik Ljungberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Panopticon 04 from getting a goal against them. After having played for 89 minutes, Kjell Kjellqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panopticon 04's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Kjellqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Panopticon 04! Johan Johnsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Fredrik Ljungberg made a huge save.
