Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Octav Şoimu started the match with the kick off. Sergio Lekubegi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Mahonea got free with Nereo Danel in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. VIP's Alexandru Butuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Gartxot in the 10th minute of play. Alexandru Butuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Lekubegi in the 12th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Genaro Gartxot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandru Butuc. VIP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Genaro Gartxot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Nereo Danel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Şoimu, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Nereo Danel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Baicea in the 22nd minute. With an all-out effort, VIP's Nereo Danel threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Octav Şoimu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sergio Lekubegi took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandru Butuc. Alexandru Butuc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With an all-out effort, VIP's Nereo Danel threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ivan Baicea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as VIP's Ivan Baicea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nereo Danel. That made the score 1-2 after 36 minutes of play. In the 41st minute Pompiliu Dăscălescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Danel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Encarale a la gordita's goalkeeper Nereo Danel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Mahonea. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Genaro Gartxot made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Sergio Lekubegi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandru Butuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in VIP's zone, Blas Erasto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandru Butuc came out of the goal and Blas Erasto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Baicea in the 65th minute of play forced Encarale a la gordita's goalkeeper Nereo Danel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes VIP got a freekick which was hit by Dan Blănaru. In the 70th minute, Natalio Orzaize hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VIP's Alexandru Butuc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save VIP from getting a goal against them. In the 76thth minute of the game Sergio Lekubegi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VIP's Alexandru Butuc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nereo Danel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Mahonea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the game, Encarale a la gordita's Genaro Gartxot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandru Butuc made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Nereo Danel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Baicea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Encarale a la gordita supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Encarale a la gordita would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
