The audience was convinced that Ulisses Munhoz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prospero Muc was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Ricardinho Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Muc having to interfere. In the 7th minute Ulisses Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Muc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Maravilla's zone, Virgílio Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prospero Muc came out of the goal and Virgílio Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Ricardinho Vander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prospero Muc was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jeronimo Solustiano hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Litoral EC - CIMZ's Virgílio Borges tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Coutinho in the 42nd minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Prospero Muc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Ricardinho Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Muc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Vander in the 45th minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Prospero Muc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Maravilla players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Litoral EC - CIMZ were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardinho Vander was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Maravilla booed when Litoral EC - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Benicio Asier got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 72nd minute, Tomás Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maravilla's Prospero Muc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Maravilla from getting a goal against them. Maravilla's Prospero Muc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Vander in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Litoral EC - CIMZ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Maravilla.
