The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nubecitas FC's Anko Bravo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Lundgren in the 13th minute of play. Kjell Ros scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anko Bravo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anko Bravo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Lundgren in the 19th minute of play. Odilon Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Robert Ljungberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Arye Suryoye's goal looked a bit too open when Torcuato Iniesta came free, but Robert Ljungberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Ljungberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torcuato Iniesta in the 32nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Arye Suryoye's Joacim Ekblom got a free kick in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Gillermo Teruel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Robert Ljungberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 40th minute Ian Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anko Bravo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Joacim Ekblom made a precise shot to the right of Anko Bravo. Nubecitas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torcuato Iniesta to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Ian Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anko Bravo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute of the match, Joacim Ekblom tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anko Bravo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ian Lundgren charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ian Lundgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Arye Suryoye got a freekick which was hit by Ian Lundgren. 61 minutes into the match, Arye Suryoye's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Gomar came free, but Robert Ljungberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian Lundgren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Anko Bravo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Robert Ljungberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torcuato Iniesta in the 67th minute of play. Anko Bravo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Lundgren in the 70th minute of play. Nubecitas FC's Anko Bravo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Lundgren in the 77th minute of play. Arye Suryoye's Joacim Ekblom got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Lundgren in the 81st minute of play forced Nubecitas FC's goalkeeper Anko Bravo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Ljungberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torcuato Iniesta in the 85th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Torcuato Iniesta notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Arye Suryoye's Robert Ljungberg. Robert Ljungberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Robert Ljungberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odilon Rivas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anko Bravo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Lundgren in the 95th minute of play.
