After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo el Divague's zone, Jeferson Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Ricart came out of the goal and Jeferson Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgardo Ricart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Penha in the 4th minute of the match. Deportivo el Divague's Edgardo Ricart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Simão in the 5th minute of play. Danilo Librado kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Danilo Librado hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Genaro Flores was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. A collision led to Deportivo el Divague getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Genaro Flores hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacá Gerber in the 15th minute of play forced Deportivo el Divague's goalkeeper Edgardo Ricart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Rosa in the 17th minute of play. Edgardo Ricart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Jeferson Carneiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgardo Ricart made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeferson Carneiro in the 29th minute of play forced Deportivo el Divague's goalkeeper Edgardo Ricart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Téo Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Ricart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Gaston Sustrai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo el Divague's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Sustrai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Felipe Simão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice moves Geovânio Penha could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Edgardo Ricart however easily saved by the left post. Guilherme Monteiro came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo el Divague's Fernan Lalla. But to his dismay, Fernan Lalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Edgardo Ricart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeferson Carneiro in the 56th minute. Cacá Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Geovânio Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Edgardo Ricart made a huge save. 75 minutes into the game, Felipe Simão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgardo Ricart. Felipe Simão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. The supporters of ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ booed when Deportivo el Divague was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Sustrai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgardo Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Bittencourt in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Fernan Lalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo el Divague's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ the free kick. After 85 played minutes Deportivo el Divague got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Lalla. 86 minutes into the match, Deportivo el Divague's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Bittencourt came free, but Edgardo Ricart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fernan Lalla came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Deportivo el Divague fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernan Lalla couldn't finish the play. Edgardo Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Bittencourt in the 94th minute of play.
