A collision led to Milanis E.C. getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Júlio Pombal hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the game, Elivélton da Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milanis E.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szombathely Squirrels the free kick. Elivélton da Silva hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Bálint Simon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Pombal came free, but Gusztáv Jászberényi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Szombathely Squirrels's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Augusto das Neves was slow to take the kick. During this time Milanis E.C.'s players had a chance to rest. If Máté Medve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ronaldão Mazza fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milanis E.C.'s protests and gave Ronaldão Mazza a yellow card for diving instead. Ronaldão Mazza in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gusztáv Jászberényi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Szombathely Squirrels getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Szilárd Csikós hit a great ball. Hélder Britto's late challenge caught a Szombathely Squirrels's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélder Britto helped the player get up and apologised. Zé Carlos da Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Carlos da Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Milanis E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Zé Carlos da Cunha. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Gusztáv Jászberényi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 46th minute, Máté Medve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Júlio Pombal to strike the kick off in the second half. Zé Carlos da Cunha hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. During the 54th minute of the match Zé Carlos da Cunha completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Zé Carlos da Cunha a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 55th match minute, Milanis E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. After 57 played minutes Milanis E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Britto. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Szilárd Csikós during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Milanis E.C.'s Ademar Donato was substituted for Elivélton da Silva. Szombathely Squirrels's Szilárd Csikós got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Szombathely Squirrels's Gusztáv Jászberényi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão Mazza in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute of the match, Dénes Boross got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jacinto de Azevedo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 74 played minutes Szombathely Squirrels got a freekick which was hit by Máté Medve. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Pombal in the 76th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Gusztáv Jászberényi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto das Neves struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Gusztáv Jászberényi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milanis E.C.. Milanis E.C. were furious when Ian Rossi was red carded, 88 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Dénes Boross might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacinto de Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dénes Boross ran back to his position shaking his head. The Szombathely Squirrels players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
