But to his dismay, Zsolt Vörös quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 19 played minutes, Szombathely Squirrels's Gusztáv Győrffy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maurício Veiga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Szombathely Squirrels reached it. Gusztáv Jászberényi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Penha in the 23rd minute of the match. After 26 minutes of play, Szombathely Squirrels's Dénes Boross made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurício Veiga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maurício Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zsolt Vörös, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Nilson Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match Ferenc Jászberényi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maurício Veiga skillfully saved the ball. Krisztián György kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Maurício Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dénes Boross in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's zone, Zsolt Vörös stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Veiga came out of the goal and Zsolt Vörös tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurício Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Szilárd Csikós in the 44th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Mané Ramalho made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Dénes Boross shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zsolt Vörös had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Szombathely Squirrels's Dénes Boross ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maurício Veiga. Maurício Veiga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. When Nilson Rosa fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's protests and gave Nilson Rosa a yellow card for diving instead.
