Valentin Tauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bruce Pesch came free, but Lino Garoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Erich Kellner got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s zone, Clodoveo Cordarius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After a rather tough play, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Elvio Mancio got a free kick in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s goalkeeper Lino Garoa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruce Pesch. After the first half Crottos Crotters F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cesar Telo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roger Dohmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Garoa having to interfere.
