After 13 minutes, Edelmiro Enol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cartero de Agronomia F.C. and the FC Kukova players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Cartero de Agronomia F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Enol to maneuver through the defense. Eugen Pataj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Gauargi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Guter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Klempa in the 24th minute of the match. Tibor Hurban's late challenge caught a Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tibor Hurban helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Tibor Hurban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Segundo Gauargi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Eugen Pataj made a huge save. Eugen Pataj made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Ur in the 48th minute of play forced FC Kukova's goalkeeper Eugen Pataj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
