Spectators: 46 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thrasivoulos Moisiadis started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Christos Banasas got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Academia Rio's Marian Ozon fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Marian Ozon took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilias Peristeropoulos. Ilias Peristeropoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 15th minute Paul Cucu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilias Peristeropoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thrasivoulos Moisiadis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petros Giannakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Mutu having to interfere. Thrasivoulos Moisiadiss short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Iurie Mutu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 29 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ FC got a freekick which was hit by Anestis Kapataidakis. Iurie Mutu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diogenis Priovolos in the 34th minute. Thrasivoulos Moisiadis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Iurie Mutu made a huge save. If Sever Vintilescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thrasivoulos Moisiadis got free with Iurie Mutu in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Ozon came free, but Ilias Peristeropoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sever Vintilescu was the one to do the kick off. Sever Vintilescu took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilias Peristeropoulos. Ilias Peristeropoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when ΠΑΟΚ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stavros Symeonatos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ΠΑΟΚ FC's zone, Sever Vintilescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilias Peristeropoulos came out of the goal and Sever Vintilescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Stavros Symeonatos got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute, Alekos Korakakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute Thrasivoulos Moisiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Mutu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Diogenis Priovolos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iurie Mutu. Academia Rio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diogenis Priovolos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Alekos Korakakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iurie Mutu having to make a save. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ilias Peristeropoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save ΠΑΟΚ FC from getting a goal against them. If Petros Giannakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st match minute, ΠΑΟΚ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anestis Kapataidakis to maneuver through the defense. Sever Vintilescu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ilias Peristeropoulos firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Rio's zone, Alekos Korakakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iurie Mutu came out of the goal and Alekos Korakakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
