Jardel Guimarães hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After 13 played minutes Lupere FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Tavares. In the 16th match minute, Lupere FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Alves to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes Lupere FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Jardel Guimarães. When Alekos Korakakis came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the ΠΑΟΚ FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alekos Korakakis couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the game, Durvalino Ortiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ilias Peristeropoulos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th minute, Dimitris Skevofilakas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Lupere FC - DMZ's Gonçalo Baptista dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 33 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Kapataidakis came free, but Walmir Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Gonçalo Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lupere FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonçalo Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilias Peristeropoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43 minutes, Cristóvão Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lupere FC - DMZ and the ΠΑΟΚ FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Cristóvão Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walmir Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petros Giannakis in the 46th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Jardel Guimarães got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonçalo Baptista made a kick off. After a rather tough play, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Dimitris Skevofilakas got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Jardel Guimarães shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilias Peristeropoulos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Baptista in the 59th minute of play forced ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Ilias Peristeropoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th match minute, ΠΑΟΚ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Skevofilakas to maneuver through the defense. Jardel Guimarães took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ilias Peristeropoulos. ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Christos Banasas hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Marcinho Goiano got a free kick in the 65th minute. Walmir Leme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thrasivoulos Moisiadis went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute, Durvalino Ortiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lupere FC - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Marcinho Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Walmir Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alekos Korakakis in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to ΠΑΟΚ FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Dimitris Skevofilakas hit a great ball. If Durvalino Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Jardel Guimarães got a free kick in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Durvalino Ortiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilias Peristeropoulos. ΠΑΟΚ FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durvalino Ortiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Many of ΠΑΟΚ FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. ΠΑΟΚ FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Lupere FC - DMZ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
