After some careless play in the ΠΑΟΚ FC defense, Remus Ticulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilias Peristeropoulos. The ΠΑΟΚ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilias Peristeropoulos should have stopped the shot. The supporters of C Ａ R D I N Ａ L booed when ΠΑΟΚ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogenis Priovolos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petros Giannakis kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Alekos Korakakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ΠΑΟΚ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alekos Korakakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Horaţiu Aurelianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to ΠΑΟΚ FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Christos Banasas hit a great ball. Ilias Peristeropoulos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remus Ticulescu in the 46th minute.

55 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mai Sugoi came free, but Ilias Peristeropoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valeriu Petruț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thrasivoulos Moisiadis in the 57th minute of the match. After 59 minutes, Grigore Şiman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C Ａ R D I N Ａ L and the ΠΑΟΚ FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, Grigore Şiman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petros Giannakis got free with Valeriu Petruț in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of C Ａ R D I N Ａ L booed when ΠΑΟΚ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stavros Symeonatos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Dacian in the 69th minute of play forced ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Ilias Peristeropoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Ovidiu Moțoc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C Ａ R D I N Ａ L fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. After 89 minutes of play, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Diogenis Priovolos made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valeriu Petruț was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute, Horaţiu Aurelianu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilias Peristeropoulos was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of ΠΑΟΚ FC for a fine match.
