After a rather tough play, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Anestis Kapataidakis got a free kick in the 2nd minute. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ilias Peristeropoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Vibjörnsson in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell-Arne Olenberg in the 6th minute of play forced ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Ilias Peristeropoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diogenis Priovolos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilias Peristeropoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Göransson in the 13th minute of play. Tor Magnusson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thrasivoulos Moisiadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell-Arne Olenberg came free, but Ilias Peristeropoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, ΠΑΟΚ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thrasivoulos Moisiadis to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Dimitris Skevofilakas put in a rough tackle. In the 24th minute, one of ΠΑΟΚ FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ΠΑΟΚ FC. The supporters of ΠΑΟΚ FC booed when KIA KAHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 played minutes KIA KAHA got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Kellberg. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Anestis Kapataidakis got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the KIA KAHA defense, Thrasivoulos Moisiadis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tor Magnusson. The KIA KAHA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tor Magnusson should have stopped the shot. Tobias Överman hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, KIA KAHA's goal looked a bit too open when Petros Giannakis came free, but Tor Magnusson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, KIA KAHA's Tor Magnusson got control of the ball when Thrasivoulos Moisiadis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thrasivoulos Moisiadis struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Tor Magnusson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ΠΑΟΚ FC. Håkan Kellberg's late challenge caught a ΠΑΟΚ FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Håkan Kellberg helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 47 minutes, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Petros Giannakis got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tor Magnusson.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tommy Vibjörnsson to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ FC got a freekick which was hit by Stavros Symeonatos. In the 54th minute, Stavros Symeonatos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 55 minutes, Sverker Algren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KIA KAHA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sverker Algren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tor Magnusson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thrasivoulos Moisiadis's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thrasivoulos Moisiadis in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tor Magnusson saved KIA KAHA from getting behind. In the 61st minute Petros Giannakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Magnusson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tor Magnusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petros Giannakis in the 63rd minute of play. Ilias Peristeropoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell-Arne Olenberg in the 65th minute of play. After 67 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ FC got a freekick which was hit by Petros Giannakis. KIA KAHA's Knut Nordin was substituted for Edvard Berglund. KIA KAHA made a substitution. Oliver Blomqvist replaced Tobias Överman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alekos Korakakis in the 72nd minute of play forced KIA KAHA's goalkeeper Tor Magnusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tor Magnusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thrasivoulos Moisiadis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Max Göransson scored 2-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilias Peristeropoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Petros Giannakis got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Max Göransson came free, but Ilias Peristeropoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes KIA KAHA got a freekick which was hit by Sverker Algren. In the 93rd minute, KIA KAHA's Kjell-Arne Olenberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. With a little luck, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ilias Peristeropoulos got control of the ball when Max Göransson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. KIA KAHA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
