Brandon Ellul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Staffan Ennegren went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Åke Browald hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 14 minutes Sliema Dragons FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hugo Kuse who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Snett★inåt★bakåt's Martin Wästerberg got a free kick in the 21st minute. Brandon Ellul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ola Britz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nick Abdilla kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Svante Forssberg stood somewhat misplaced when Jean Paul Caruana came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 25 minute. The supporters of Snett★inåt★bakåt booed when Sliema Dragons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick Abdilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brandon Ellul came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Snett★inåt★bakåt's Vilhelm Bergström. But to his dismay, Vilhelm Bergström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After a rather tough play, Sliema Dragons FC's Philip Griffin got a free kick in the 39th minute. With 42 minutes on the clock, Philip Griffin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Sliema Dragons FC's Brandon Ellul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Kuse in the 44th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Staffan Ennegren made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Sliema Dragons FC's Samuel Galdes got a free kick in the 57th minute. Samuel Galdes hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Sliema Dragons FC's Brandon Ellul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Kuse in the 59th minute of play. Brandon Ellul made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Martin Wästerberg sent off a good shot on target. Martin Wästerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Andreasson came free, but Brandon Ellul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brandon Ellul came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Snett★inåt★bakåt's Staffan Ennegren. But to his dismay, Staffan Ennegren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Snett★inåt★bakåt made a substitution. Karl-Åke Biörk replaced Staffan Ennegren. 90 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Brandon Ellul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Åke Biörk. In the 91st minute, Olov Andreasson made a precise shot to the right of Brandon Ellul. Sliema Dragons FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Snett★inåt★bakåt's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
