Jean Paul Caruana got in the 22nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Basílio Trigo handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Basílio Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Paul Caruana in the 25th minute of the match. AS Pikachuzim's Basílio Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederick Gatt in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Maia in the 29th minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Brandon Ellul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Paul Caruana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Jaime Teixeira made a precise shot to the right of Brandon Ellul. Sliema Dragons FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After 51 played minutes Sliema Dragons FC got a freekick which was hit by Frederick Gatt. Basílio Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jean Paul Caruana's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. When Jaime Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the AS Pikachuzim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Teixeira couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes in the game, Geovânio Vasconcelos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Brandon Ellul having to interfere. When Luizão Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AS Pikachuzim's protests and gave Luizão Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. If Celso Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sliema Dragons FC's Brandon Ellul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Teixeira in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to Sliema Dragons FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Kyle Axisa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Maia in the 78th minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Brandon Ellul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Jaime Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Sliema Dragons FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AS Pikachuzim were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
