In the 24th minute Robert Pullicino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Knut Grevad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Knut Grevad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Brandon Ellul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Smedorf, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Samuel Galdes's late challenge caught a Hoberg United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Galdes helped the player get up and apologised. 61 minutes into the game, one of Sliema Dragons FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Hoberg United a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Paul Caruana in the 67th minute of play forced Hoberg United's goalkeeper Knut Grevad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Hoberg United's Knut Grevad got control of the ball when Patrick Buttigieg tried to sneak it across the goal line.
