The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sílvio Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Aleberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulf Böcklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Moraes having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Pedro Mendes in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Algot Påk saved ZigZag Athletic from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Zé Pedro Mendes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Algot Påk. In the 20th match minute, Goblins F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Pedro Mendes to maneuver through the defense. When Hans Odén, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 22 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sílvio Moraes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Tommy Aleberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ZigZag Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to ZigZag Athletic getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ingmar Asmundsson hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes Goblins F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Machado. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Tommy Aleberg sped through Goblins F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sílvio Moraes. In the 52nd minute of the match, Zé Pedro Mendes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Algot Påk saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Oséias Rosa made a great header on Goblins F.C.'s corner, it was just that ZigZag Athletic's Algot Påk managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Pedro Mendes got free with Algot Påk in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruninho Campidelis took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Algot Påk. Algot Påk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. If Waldemar Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes, Oséias Rosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goblins F.C. and the ZigZag Athletic players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 played minutes Goblins F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Rosa. In the 73rd minute, Tommy Aleberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ZigZag Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. A collision led to Goblins F.C. getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Enio Azevedo hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Tommy Aleberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Aleberg in the 86th minute of play forced Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Joel Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goblins F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Bezerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Pedro Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Algot Påk made a huge save. In the 94th match minute, ZigZag Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulf Böcklund to maneuver through the defense. Ingmar Asmundsson kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ZigZag Athletic fans cheered their team off the field, for while Goblins F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
