A collision led to ASC South United getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Hugo Bender hit a great ball. Stijn Otten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefanos Xomeritakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefanos Xomeritakis in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stijn Otten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Stavros Kabantais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save tHe SOnS of rAGnar from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Stavros Kabantais got control of the ball when Hugo Bender tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stijn Otten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chrisostomos Bourdas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Stefanos Xomeritakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stijn Otten was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wesley Eringa during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of tHe SOnS of rAGnar booed when ASC South United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Eringa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stijn Otten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Lagonikakis in the 25th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, ASC South United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taco Scholte to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Bender sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Akis Romanidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Akis Romanidis during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes tHe SOnS of rAGnar got a freekick which was hit by Akis Romanidis. After a rather tough play, tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Akis Romanidis got a free kick in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Bender was the one to do the kick off. Mirko Stuijvenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 57 minutes, Taco Scholte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ASC South United and the tHe SOnS of rAGnar players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ASC South United getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Taco Scholte hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Stefanos Xomeritakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stijn Otten was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefanos Xomeritakis in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stijn Otten saved ASC South United from getting behind. Hugo Bender received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Stavros Kabantais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stavros Kabantais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Bender in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akis Romanidis in the 74th minute of play forced ASC South United's goalkeeper Stijn Otten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hugo Bender had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stijn Otten made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Akis Romanidis sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in ASC South United's zone, Stefanos Xomeritakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stijn Otten came out of the goal and Stefanos Xomeritakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goalkeeper Stijn Otten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefanos Xomeritakis. Stijn Otten made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Akis Romanidis sent off a good shot on target. Stijn Otten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theofilos Zaninos in the 88th minute of play. Taco Scholte might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stavros Kabantais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Taco Scholte ran back to his position shaking his head. Stefanos Xomeritakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stijn Otten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dirk van Dessel during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th match minute, ASC South United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk van Dessel to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind ASC South United's goalkeeper Stijn Otten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
