The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcos Machado during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. SC Angrense's Artur Rego was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nestor Quintal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 67 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Aragão came free, but Nestor Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Independente FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Marcos Machado scored to the left of an out of position Nestor Quintal, making the score, 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Rodrigues in the 73rd minute of play forced SC Angrense's goalkeeper Cássio Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Quintal made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Marcos Machado sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded SC Angrense left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Independente FC.
