Amerigo Di Liddo was out of position in the 2 minute of play, and Emiliano Faro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emiliano Faro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Amerigo Di Liddo made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Jaime Mundo sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, Godfredo Santikurtz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alfonso Pantalone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Mundo. 26 minutes into the match, GG Team FC's goalkeeper Amerigo Di Liddo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejo Louis. Leones FC's Amador Jakue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Troiani in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Amos Troiani notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Leones FC's Amador Jakue. Amador Jakue was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Alejo Louis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leones FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejo Louis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amerigo Di Liddo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the game, Leones FC's Alejo Louis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amerigo Di Liddo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alejo Louis to make the kick off. If Emiliano Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to GG Team FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Attilio Bolli hit a great ball. Alejo Louis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Amerigo Di Liddo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrico Cirone kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Felice Lepre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Mundo in the 94th minute of play forced GG Team FC's goalkeeper Amerigo Di Liddo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Leones FC booed when GG Team FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attilio Bolli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amerigo Di Liddo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Mundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Many of GG Team FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. GG Team FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Leones FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
