Emil Stål showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Carioca in the 53rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the spikarna defense, Elói Carioca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emil Stål. The spikarna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emil Stål should have stopped the shot. After 65 played minutes spikarna got a freekick which was hit by Adam Rosendahl. Juarês Gerber succeeded in the game's 66th minute to get real power on a long shot . spikarna's Emil Stål hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 6-1! In the 68th minute Anselmo Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Stål saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Adam Rosendahl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. spikarna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itajaí Football Club the free kick. The Itajaí Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Madureira in the 87th minute of play forced spikarna's goalkeeper Emil Stål to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
