Nemesio Dimas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Arne Lång in the 17th minute of the match. Ildefonso Valente charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ildefonso Valente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of spikarna booed when Atlético Montserrat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28 played minutes Atlético Montserrat got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Boniel. 29 minutes into the game, Hector Eufrasio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Montserrat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave spikarna the free kick. The supporters of spikarna booed when Atlético Montserrat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Eufrasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dick Lövkvist hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Hector Eufrasio made in the 36th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ildefonso Valente. In the 43rd minute, Per-Arne Lång got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ildefonso Valente made a kick off. In the 61st minute, Per Månsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emil Stål showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Marques in the 64th minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match Anselmo Emenon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emil Stål showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 72 played minutes, spikarna's Håkan Morat shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nemesio Dimas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in spikarna reached it. After 74 played minutes Atlético Montserrat got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Ospetsu. A throw-in in the 76th minute of the game was made by Hector Eufrasio with Cleto Formerio as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. During the 78th minute of the match Ildefonso Valente completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ildefonso Valente a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Atlético Montserrat getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ildefonso Valente hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Per-Arne Lång ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nemesio Dimas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Per-Arne Lång in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nemesio Dimas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Leonides Boniel kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Bennet in the 89th minute of play forced Atlético Montserrat's goalkeeper Nemesio Dimas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
