Odysseas Rousses sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th minute, Alfredo Jago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Volakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Romildo in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Unione Sportiva's Odysseas Rousses ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baldomero Ibon. Baldomero Ibon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Baldomero Ibon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charalambos Christou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 17 minutes, Alkeides Touchakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unione Sportiva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alkeides Touchakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Naboonga OFF were furious when Alfredo Jago was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 19th match minute, Naboonga OFF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Jago to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Vaggelis Kountouroudas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Baldomero Ibon. The goal made the score 2-0. If Americo Macias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Figueroa to make the kick off. A collision led to Unione Sportiva getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Lambros Kaloxylos hit a great ball. Naboonga OFF's Ricardo Figueroa got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute Alkeides Touchakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Ibon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naboonga OFF's Baldomero Ibon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charalambos Christou in the 57th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute of the match, Ricardo Figueroa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hector Volakis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Baldomero Ibon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odysseas Rousses, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
